Mr. Dev Raj Rai is a tutor, financial management expert, researcher with over two decades of experience in overseeing projects, managing finances, accounts, and procurement in both the public and private sectors. He has a robust background in financial planning and budgeting, as well as public and private sector financial management reform. His expertise includes policy advice, technical support for projects and programs, public financial management, internal control systems, and public administration. Mr. Rai has coordinated with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government entities, civil society, international organizations, provincial and local governments, community leaders, and political figures. His work has focused on building the capacity of PLGs, emphasizing financial discipline, transparency, procurement processes, accountability, inclusion, and sustainability across various sectors, including health, education, emergency support, GESI, business planning, and project management. He is skilled in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling official activities and excels in monitoring, surveying, data collection, research, and analysis. Mr. Rai is proficient in conducting operational, financial, process, and system audits. He is also highly skilled in ICT, with expertise in accounting software (such as Nepal Government SUTRA, CGAS, IPFMS, QuickBooks, MS Accounting Software, Busy, Co-Bank, etc.), as well as SPSS, MS Office packages and MS Project.
He started teaching as assistant lecturer from 2002 to now in different colleges of Kathmandu valley. With the high level of teaching experience, he is highly skilled professional in motivating, capacity building and evaluating the performance. He has strong ground of research activities. He is supporting to his students for research work and published research articles in the international journal.
